Elves and crayons

I for got to post my first Elf hat. Julian was kind enough to be my model, since our willful little girl protested. I think he makes a fine Elf. I need to put the patch on his Karate uniform today. He is soooo excited about Karate. Hopefully, this will stick for a while.

Yesterday, we actually did some crafting that wasn’t sewing! We had a pile of old crayons that were broken and partially melted from being left out in the sun. I had run across this post last week, and decide to try it out. The boys (Julian had a friend over) got a bit bored after 15 minutes of tearing the paper off the crayons, but had fun breaking them into pieces and sorting them out. We decided to put them in a Madeleine pan, and we now have crayon shells-FUN!

Adorable! I love makine those crayons, though I haven’t come across a cool pan like that. I need to remember to look for one next time I’m thrifting, but I always stick to the linens.

Great crayon craft idea. I’ll remember that one for a slow day with the kids. I love the little pointy hats too. They’re really cute!

    Have a nice day.
