My Fall Swap goodies!

My package (or packages-I’ll explain in a bit) went out today. Finally! I was supposed to send it out by Friday, but I was still making something that I wanted to include in the swap. Of course, things got away from me, so I decided not to stress and just send it on Saturday. Well, I had to work in the morning; then when I got back Rob wanted to go on a run, which was fine, except that he ended up running a marathon and was gone for 4 hours. Post office closed. Not one to panic, I figured Monday was better late than never. Rob took the package with him this morning, but then forgot the stuff that I had put in last minute, which meant that I had to go the Post office anyway. So Dana is getting 2 packages. MAN! I have got to get more organized!!!! How long can you really use the baby brain defense?

Anyway, I’m glad that they are finally on their way, because Dana’s package to me was waiting on my doorstep when I got back. This is my first swap and I couldn’t wait to open it- and I was not disappointed! As you can see, she knit me a scarf and made the cutest pincushion. Then there’s the awesome appliqued owl tee-shirt, the lip balm, and the candles. Then I saw a tin of mints, and I’m thinking yum- I like mints, but no! Inside are a bunch of fabric button magnets- love them! But the best was the last thing I opened- a white Dynaware baking dish that matches a partial set of dishes I found thrifting down in San Clemente. I literally shed tears. I don’t know if it was coincidence or if Dana saw my dishes in my flickr photos, but no matter- super thoughtful and generous and I can’t wait for my next swap. So thank you, thank you, thank you, Dana , for your wonderful gifts and a thank you to Chara for hosting the swap!!

I’m almost done with the lunch bag. Hopefully I can finish that tonight before starting on the baby blanket tomorrow. I have an idea in mind. I decided I was too tired to go to class tonight, so now I have more time to work…
